Michaela Strachen is one of TV’s most popular and charismatic presenters. Michaela’s most current project is a brand new series for UKTV channels Blighty and Yesterday which will be transmitted in late October. Other recent projects include a major series for the National Geographic Channel, a second series of Animal Rescue Squad and the ten-part hit Michaela’s Zoo Babies, both for Five.
Michaela’s extensive list of presenting highlights includes BBC1’s Countryfile, the award-winning The Really Wild Show, BBC1’s Orangutan Diaries, the double BAFTA-winning Five series Michaela’s Wild Challenge, and the BBC’s Elephant Diaries. For Discovery’s Animal Planet she has presented Postcards from the Wild and Adopt a Wild Animal.
Michaela’s personality ensured the cult-success of eighties series The Hit Man and Her and for children’s TV The Wild Awake Club, and helped to establish her celebrity status alongside her standing as an accomplished wildlife presenter. 2009 saw her guest appearance on BBC2’s Total Wipeout.
