Duncan James

From an early age, music and theatre have played a central role in Duncan’s life with him often travelling to London’s West End with his mother.

Duncan was born an entertainer, starring in school productions and also working at Haven holiday camp – where he met his soon to be bandmates, Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe and Anthony Costa. Then Blue the pop group was born, and the band immediately signed to Innocent Records.

After 4 successful years, in 2005 the guys decided to take a break from the band to pursue other interests,Duncansaw this as the perfect opportunity to pursue his interest in broadening his experience within the entertainment industry.

Duncan was thrilled to be offered the part of Billy Flynn in the hit stage musical Chicago, which he starred in during Summer 07, reprising the role for an additional 10 week run from December to February 08.

In addition to pursuing his music talents, Duncan became a familiar face on television and worked as a presenter on Soapstar Superstar, Capital FM’s Party in the Park, City Hospital, T4, The Clothes Show and GMTV’s Entertainment Today. He was also thrilled to be asked to compete in ITV’s Dancing on Ice where he became a finalist and participated in the following sell out tour in arenas across the UK. He then went onto film Grease: The School Musical for Sky 1, following and mentoring aUK school who were putting on aWest End performance of the hit musical.
