Amanda Holden

Amanda Holden is riding high as one of the judges on the hugely popular and BAFTA winning Britain’s Got Talent alongside Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan for ITV1; one of the highest rating TV shows in the UK which has pulled viewing figures in excess of 20 million and is responsible for finding the worldwide phenomenon Susan Boyle.

Amanda’s career covers television, theatre, film and presenting. She also works regularly in the States and the UK covering various Show Business news events as the UK correspondent for The Early Show for the CBS network and has a weekly column in News of the World’s Fabulous magazine.  She was nominated for an Olivier Award for her role as Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie on theWest End stage in 2004.

Leading roles in TV comedy are extensive and include Kiss Me Kate for BBC1; The Grimleys ITV1; BBC1’s Celebs; We Know Where You Live with Simon Pegg; Mad About Alice for BBC1 and BBC1’s Big Top. She co starred alongside Bill Nighy  and Tom Courtenay in the classic comedy Film Ready When You Are Mr McGill.

Leading roles in drama include  three hugely successful series of ITV1’s Wild At Heart; BBC1’s Happy Birthday Shakespeare; BBC1’s Hearts and Bones with Damien Lewis; The Hunt ITV1 and Now You See Her. Further drama credits include the BAFTA nominated hit for BBC1 Cutting It and ITV’s 4.50 From Paddington a Miss Marple thriller.

Theatre credits include The Sound of Music, Arsenic and Old Lace. The Importance of Being Ernest.

Her presenting credits include the prestigious Children’s Champion Awards; A Night of Heroes; Celebrating the Carpenters; The National Music Awards; When Britain First Had Talent; Greasemania and The Door. She also presented ITV’s three part programme Amanda’s Holden’s Fantasy Lives as well as a midwifery documentary Out Of My Depth.

Britain’s Got Talent is currently in its fifth series where Amanda is judging alongside Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff.

Amanda will be opening in Shrek The Musical atLondon’s Theatre Royal, Drury Lane In June 2011.

Amanda dedicates all her performances to her darling husband Chris Hughes and daughter Lexi.
