Ian Irving first came to prominence in 1987 on UK television as part of Cilla Black’s Surprise Surprise. He then appeared in the finals of the nationwide talent show, New Faces. The success of this saw him embark upon a nationwide theatre tour.

He has performed at many of the most prestigious venues in the UK supporting leading acts such as Lionel Richie, Simply Red, Elkie Brooks and Jim Davidson as well as Russ Abbott, Bonnie Tyler, Smokey Robinson, The Four Tops, The Drifters and The Jersey Boys.
