Dave Wolfe

Dave Wolfe made his television debut in 1979 on LWT’s Search for a Star and went on to win the final, beginning 1980 with his own television special.
Since then he has worked extensively in television, radio, theatre, cabaret and conferences, and is now acknowledged as one of this country’s finest after dinner speakers.

For the past twenty years Dave has concentrated solely on the corporate market, where his unique ability to tailor and personalise his material keeps him in constant demand.

Character assassination is a speciality of Dave’s; however he is well aware that it is his job to entertain and not to offend, and to that end he is always politically sensitive. (In fact he says that the only people who ever complain are the ones that thought they should have got a mention and didn’t!).  He is equally at home with both mixed and all-male audiences.

As a celebrity member of both The Variety Club of Great Britain Golfing Society andSPARKS, Dave speaks at many charitable events both at home and abroad. Consequently, in the summer months company golf days are a speciality.

He is acknowledged by his peers as one of the country’s funniest comedians and finest after-dinner speakers; this is a unique accolade and one that means he must go on last, as nobody wants to follow him!

Dave has travelled the world entertaining corporate clients in Europe, The Middle East, and North America & Central America.

He specialises in personalisation for corporate events, and customer satisfaction is substantiated by the number of re-bookings he receives.

Dave has appeared at the London Palladium, The Royal Albert Hall and just about every major theatre in the country.

His extensive television experience includes  2 Royal Variety Shows, ‘Live from Her Majesty’s’, ‘Comic Relief’, ‘ ‘Night of 100 Stars’, ‘Summertime Special’,  ‘Only Joking’, etc. etc…..

Dave has recently returned from the fabulous Sirene Golf Hotel, Antalya in Turkey, where he was honoured to be asked to entertain at The Variety Club’s Captain’s Classic.

Last year he was the guest speaker at the inaugural  SPARKS Rugby versus Showbiz Classic at La Manga , and later in the year was delighted to accept Ray Clemence’s invitation to speak at his Classic at Oliva Nova inSpain.

He also found time to fit in another trip to La Manga, this time to entertain at a Pro-Am ( he should be getting good at golf by now!).

Dave works regularly for the Blue Chip Companies, and in April this year was pleased to be asked to entertain 700 people for Mercedes Commercial at The N.E.C. This was the fourth time that he had been asked to speak at this event, (a record for Mercedes Commercial ), and the evening was such a resounding success that the agent was immediately asked to book him for another four Mercedes events. He went down a storm at those as well, cementing his relationship Daimler Chrysler and was “the talk of the network”.

Although unable to take up the invitation to return to La Manga for the 2nd Rugby v Showbiz Classic this year, Dave has spoken at many Charity Golf events for SPARKS this year, including The Lehman Brothers Classic at the stunning Grove Hotel near Rickmansworth and the Tim Brooke Taylor Classic at Brockett Hall.

Dave has just returned from holiday in St. Kitts and is managing to fit in 3 week’s work before flying out to Mauritius for a speaking engagement and a week’s golf with The Variety Club. – It’s a hard life!
