TENORISSIMO
In
June 1998, entrepreneur
Mr Alfred Wright
had the idea
to bring three
tenors together
for a one off
concert at King
George`s Hall,
Blackburn. As
it was the year
of the World
Cup, he thought
it would be
a fitting grand
finale to the
town`s celebrations.
So,
he asked three
tenors of whom
he knew, Geoffrey
Coles, James
Fitzgerald and
Morgan Lee James,
who had not
met previously.
Upon meeting
and working
together, an
immediate bond
was formed.
The
show was an
overwhelming
success and
was immediately
booked for a
return visit.
At their next
venue the show
received a standing
ovation with
a demand for
3 encores and
no less than
50 tickets were
reserved for
the next show,
which sold out
5 weeks before
the performance.
From
the inspiration
of this success,
Tenorissimo
was born.
Since
that first concert,
the trio who
boast over 100
years experience
between them,
have gone from
strength to
strength, performing
at sell-out
concerts in
the North of
England with
their debut
in the south
at the Winter
Gardens, Bournemouth.
They
have recently
returned from
a successful
cruise for P&O
Lines on the
prestigious
“Oriana”.
They
enjoy each other`s
company off
stage as much
as they do on
stage, sharing
with the audience
their infectious
warmth, humour
and charm.
