Stuart has
had a lifelong
involvement
with motorsport.
After being
British Champion
Co-driver
for 3 years
he moved into
team management,
first with
BMC where
he led them
to several
Monte Carlo
Rally wins
and later
with Ford
where, as
Director of
Motorsport,
he was responsible
for their
race and rally
programmes
across Europe.
Under his
leadership
Ford won both
World and
European Championships.
His business
career also
included two
years at Castrol
as Publicity
Manager and
seven as Ford
of Britain's
Director of
Motorsport
and Director
of Public
Affairs which
involved working
with senior
executives
of many nationalities
(and from
several business
disciplines)
in every country
in Europe..
He also ran
a self contained
factory within
Ford which
built low
volume, high
quality cars,
sold to knowledgeable
and discerning
customers.
Stuart Turner
is uniquely
qualified
to talk about
team work
because he
has practical
experience
of building
world beating
teams for
not one but
two companies,
and in one
of the most
fiercely competitive
areas there
is, Motorsport.
He is a Lord's
Taverner and
was on the
Advisory Committee
of Action
