Post Millennium Music
It seems incredible to imagine a modern music world without the all pervading influence of one Simon Cowell and his various cohorts from X Factor and Pop Idol. He above all others has put his stamp on the 21st century UK music scene but there’s plenty of talent to draw from when it comes to top notch cabaret bookings
The new millennium has seen the continuing climb to prominence of female vocalists - both solo artists and bands and just take your pick from Leona Lewis, Amy Winehouse, Katie Melua, Charlotte Church, Sugar Babes, Jamelia, Joss Stone, Liberty X and Girls Aloud, to name but some of the standout acts.
But the boys haven’t been redundant either with the emergence of the likes of Justin Timberlake, James Blunt, Lemar, Will Young, Shane Ward and the ‘rehabilitation’ of a little known Northern four-piece band who go under the name of Take That!
