Nick Gillingham
has been ranked
no 1 in the
world for
200m breast
stroke. At
different
stages in
a distinguished
career he
has set three
World, ten
European,
nine Commonwealth
records and
seventeen
British records.
At the Barcelona
Olympics he
was the only
British swimmer
to take a
medal, adding
to his 1988
silver. He
has been European
Champion on
three consecutive
occasions.
Nick has
since been
in demand
as a TV commentator
and has contributed
to magazine
articles.
He is also
venturing
into motivational
/team building
talks. Nick
has now retired
from full
time competitive
sport and
his hobbies
include squash,
running, golf,
theatre, cinema
and photography.
