MAXINE
MOLIN:
A
highly talented,
vivacious Harpist
who began music
at the age of four,
Maxine first took
up the harp at nine
years of age, due
to the encouragement
of her musical parents
who were both in
the Halle Orchestra.Since
that period she
has appeared at
some of the leading
venues in the United
Kingdom and established
a reputation as
one of the North
of England's leading
Harpists.Thousands
throughout the country
have enjoyed her
work, particularly
with The National
Ballet Orchestra.Work
Experience.
From 1989 to present
day she has been
a freelance musician.
During this period
she has been involved
in a variety of
work encompassing
hotel venues, business
functions, weddings,
orchestras and solos.
Orchestral work
has included the
Halle, National
Ballet and various
other major orchestras.
She has performed
recitals at various
venues including
The Free Trade Hall.

its formation the
Quartet has given
performances extensively
around Britain and
overseas including
recitals for music
societies, festivals
and foyer events
as well as concerts
for charity benefits.
The Quartet's varied
work includes recording
for pop artists,
film sound tracks
and appearances
on BBC and Independent
Television.
The Covent Garden
String Quartet plays
for private receptions,
functions and conferences
at venues up and
down the country.

CON
SPIRITO STRING QUARTET:
The
Con Spirito String
Quartet was formed
in 1990 by Helen
Fitzgerald. All
the players are
graduates of Birmingham
Conservatoire. This
extremely versatile
and talented quartet
have toured with
American Rock Group
Meatloaf, Roger
Daltry, Alice Cooper,
Gary Brooker, Rod
Argent, Colin Blunstone
and Barry Manilow.
In November 2001,
Helen worked in
New York with top
DJs and singer Mary
J Blige for a high
profile fashion
show, for which
she was responsible
for string arrangements.
For the past four
years they have
worked on a regular
basis with Chris
de Burgh, regularly
touring and recording
two albums with
him.
They embrace an
extremely wide repertoire
not only the classics
and light classical
but right across
the board, one of
the few ensembles
to include such
modern icons as
Sinatra, Dean Martin,
Chris de Burgh,
Abba, Queen, Meatloaf,
Film and show music.

ANTARA
STRING QUARTET:
The
Antara String Quartet
was established
in 1995 by four
graduates of the
Birmingham Conservatoire,
with their present
viola player joining
a year later.
They have been
performing regularly
in a variety of
capacities, from
public recitals
to private functions.
They perform as
a string quartet
and also with guests.
Concerts have included
such distinguished
musicians such as
Malcolm Wilson,
pianist for the
CBSO, in the Schummann
Piano Quintet and
the Brahm’s
Clarinet Quintet
with Emma McKnight,
winner of the 1995
Dillons’ Concerto
Prize. In 1996 the
Quartet won first
prize in the Conservatoire
String Quartet Competition
and came runner
up in the Sylvia
Cleaver Chamber
Music Prize a few
months later.
One of their most
recent was a series
of concerts around
Birmingham where
they performed at
the inaugural concert
for the Derby Chamber
Music Series, which
was a great success
and they were invited
back to perform
a further three
times over the next
season. They performed
again a few weeks
later as part of
the Birmingham Chamber
Music Series and
then at Hartlebury
Castle.
