the face of Sony’s

campaign. She
has modelled a
range of underwear
for Bhs.
Melinda first
hit the headlines
in January 1997
when posters of
a double glazing
campaign she was
fronting (“Class
Behind Glass”)
started disappearing
from their sites
and ending up
in young boys’
bedrooms. The
Sun brought her
to the attention
of the nation
and TV appearances
quickly followed.
Melinda stood
in as host on
the “NOT
THE JACK DOCHERTY
SHOW” (CH
5) and proved
to be such a hit
she was given
her own show “MELINDA’S
BIG NIGHT IN”.
She was the presenter
of “CAN
WE STILL BE FRIENDS”
(LWT for Channel
5) and was one
of the BBC’s
“Men in
the Golden Suit”
for their Children’s
Promise television
appeal, Christmas
1999. She has
appeared in “Dream
Team” (Sky)
and the movie
“Mumbo Jumbo”.
Melinda hosted
Channel 5’s
action game show
“FORT BOYARD”
for four highly
successful series
and was the host
of Carlton Television’s
series “BABY
BABY”. In
2001 she presented
“I Love
1997” for
BBC1 and was a
contributor on
the BBC1 current
affairs programme
“4x4”.
She was the host
of the environmental
series “WHAT
ON EARTH”
(Carlton) August
2002. Melinda
was a guest presenter
on WISH YOU WERE
HERE (ITV) and
has presented
a documentary
for ITV “MELINDA
HITS HOLLYWOOD”
during which she
was auditioned
for “FRIENDS”
and offered a
part in “BAYWATCH”.
At the end of
2002 she proved
a hugely popular
housemate in CELEBRITY
BIG BROTHER.
She has released
a fitness video,
“The MELINDA
MESSENGER BACK
INTO SHAPE WORKOUT”
which follows
her six week regime
to get back into
shape after the
birth of her first
son Morgan in
April 2000.
She is married
to WAYNE ROBERTS
and lives in Wiltshire.
Their second son,
Flynn was born
in March 2002
and their daughter
Evie in December
2003.
