Johnson was
born in 1964
in New York,
he was educated
at Eton and
Balliol College,
Oxford where
he was President
of the Union.
After being
a trainee
reporter with
The Times
and The Wolverhampton
Express and
Star he joined
the Daily
Telegraph
in 1987, serving
successively
as a leader
and feature
writer, European
Community
correspondent
and Assistant
Editor. In
1999 he was
appointed
Editor of
The Spectator.
Boris 's
Experience
Boris fought
Clwyd South
in the 1997
General Election
and is well-known
as a writer
and broadcaster.
He was elected
to represent
Henley at
the 2001 General
Election.
In November
2003, he was
appointed
a Vice-Chairman
of the Conservative
Party, and
in May 2004,
he also was
appointed
as Shadow
Minister for
the Arts.
