FASCINATING AIDA

aida"One of the best cabaret acts in the entire history of the Universe!" - The Guardian

Fascinating Aïda are a three woman satirical cabaret group renowned for their immaculate close harmony, subversive with and .....sequins! Their comedy ranges from the delicately subtle to the absurdly slapstick with masterly timing.

They have been compared to a cross between The Andrews Sisters, Noel Coward and Tom Lehrer, however no adequate description has ever been made because Fascinating Aïda fill a unique niche in the cabaret world.

Their songs, demeanour and dress ooze sophistication and style, thus, in March 1994 when FA returned to the stage after a five year absence, the Financial Times critic wrote; "Sophisticated cabaret returns to our lives..........Fascinating Aïda vigorously back on top".

Fascinating Aïda's satirical targets range from Political Correctness to genetic mutation, supermodels to adultery; they also have a sensitive, reflective side to their repertoire.

Dillie Keane, the prime mover, song-writer and pianist (and columnist for The Mail on Sunday!), accompanies Adele Anderson and the newest member of the group Baroness Issy van Randwyck (currently enjoying solo success on The Glory of Gershwin album - no 2 in the Charts). They are supreme masters of entertainment and have the ability to transform an audience from laughter to tears and back again!

Fascinating Aïda have considerable experience in the private cabaret sector and have performed in almost every setting imaginable, from intimate dinner parties to the Hilton ball-room, castles to marquees. Whatever the function, you can be assured it will be an evening of elegant, intelligent and extravagant entertainment.
